That night, after the movie, Harry's Bosch series 9 electric shave turned itself on around 2 a.m., with each burst of life lasting for about 30 s, on a periodic basis for about 5 min, waking Harry from deep REM sleep. It then went into lock-mode, and refused to work when needed. It was left alone for a couple of days, and then came back to normal life. Strange goings on. During its inactive period, Harry had to use a cut-throat razor.
