A Celebration of Rabindranath Tagore
Rabindranath Tagore won the Nobel Prize in 1913 for 'Gitanjali', which speaks of one's identity in this world and beyond. The original songs were in Bengali and were expressed by a dance team consisting of students and one teacher. Some of the pictures below are fuzzy, taken with long exposures to avoid disturbing the spirit of the thrilling performance. The choreography is by Sruti Banerjee, and the script by Somnath Sinha, both of Rabindra Bharati University. This was an evenings entertainment for all delgates.
