Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Cambridge
A workshop was held on the subject of novel materials, July 28-31, 2009, with participants from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Cambridge. The Academy is an umberella organisation consisting of some 80 research institutes. In addition, there were participants from two universities. The purpose was to enhance collaborative work and to get to know each other.
The Cambridge Union Society is a two hundred year old centre for free debate on pious issues (?).
