Description

MAP_STEEL_NPDR gives the reduction in weld nitrogen concentration caused by the presence of iron powder in the coating of manual metal arc welds. It is calculated from the equation:

nitrogen reduction (ppm by weight) = 3.46 * Fe content (wt%).

PDR is the iron powder content of the coating (weight percent).

DN is the reduction in weld nitrogen concentration (parts per million by weight).
