Statistical model has reasonably good agreement with real data
...but need to make modelling parameters reflect physical reality
Grain size measurements show no obvious systematic grain size change in tempered steels
...but grain boundary relaxation can clearly be seen
Fits well with the interpretation of Moorthy et al. that grain boundary pinning strength decreases as grain boundary energy decreases
