This symposium was held at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (Chennai, India), organised by the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, in association with The Indian Institute of Metals (Chennai Chapter), ASM International (Chennai Chapter), IIT Madras Student Chapter of ASM International, and the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Student's Association.
