Dr Apparao Chintha promoted to Principal Scientist, May 2024

Apparao Chintha (PT Group Member) has been promoted at Tata Steel, Jamshedpur. He will now report to the Chief of Product Development Research.

Appa qualified as a Bachelor in Metallurgy at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 2007, followed by a higher qualification in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Science. He then completed his Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge during 2021. Appa has made many direct contributions to the resolution of difficult metallurgical and processing problems. He also is a keen cyclist, often going on 100 mile rides.
