Using the graphical display requires you to know a few important commands. Once the graphical display is present, the mouse pointer will change to a cross if the calculation is finished; otherwise it remains your default pointer.

The content is by default written to an output file named plotxxx.out, a postscript file unless you have set the environment variable [HCPY to something else.
This file is not closed and your next graph will be appended to it as an additional page.
Closing the display and the output file: instead of typing
MTDATA should indicate the name of the graphic file it has closed.
