"The Engineer" is a sculpture is a tribute to the people who participated in the construction of the bridges and tunnel across the River Severn in Wales, and the and sea-wall. It is by Rubin James Eynon, and stands at the Black Rock picnic area. It is made from weathering steel, fabricated by welding triangular bits. It conveys the story of the Severn Tunnel and the figure has in its right hand, a model of Sudbrook village and the entrance of the tunnel/rail-track. It does not have a back to allow the passage of light.
