Bassingbourne 5 kW Wind Turbine
The organic farm aims to be self-sufficient. They have no mains water connection; they harvest rain-water; they use handpumps to retrieve water from tanks under the ground; they have water-heating panels to make hot water, and use the wind turbine's electricity for light, computers, and additional water-heating. The house is well-insulated and requires only a little winter heating, which is provided by wood grown on the farm.
