The conference Banquet |

Fantastic performance of traditional Korean music by students from Seoul National University. |

The first piece used to include vocals but now is only instrumental. It conveys long life as everlasting in heaven. |

Next the scattered melodies of Sanjo. Four to six rhythmically divided movements in progressively faster tempos. Delicate and exquisite indeed. |

A Daegeum (bamboo transverse flute) solo from 1300 years ago. The clear sound of large leaves. |

Sorrows - a deeply moving expression of the sadness of life. |

This was amazing. Exultation through music, with Buddhist connotations. |

The synchronisation between instruments was unbelievable. |

2nd year student Jang Yi yun whose clarity and elegance in presenting the musicians was utterly impressive. |

The finale, based on the ability of individuals to weave themselves into the ensemble performance. |

There was considerable pleasure in the faces of the performers, as they played to an enchanted audience. At this stage there was utter silence in the ballroom, only permeated by the music. |

The audience. They only emanated silence. |
