Ironmaking in Wales

Ironmaking blast furnace built by Vernon, Kendall and Co. (approximately 1755). Sited in Wales (Dyfi), it was fired by charcoal made from the surrounding woods and the blast itself was powered by water diverted from the adjacent river.
